Spread the love

Fuel stations in Port Harcourt have resumed sale of petroleum products following the suspension of the strike embarked upon by members of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG.

Our correspondents observed that fuel stations at Amadi-ama, Eastern Bye-Pass and other areas in the Rivers State capital were dispensing petroleum products.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Doctor PETER MEDEE told correspondent Ndubuisi Ojo in a telephone interview that a committee to prevent a recurrence has been set up.

Doctor MEDEE also expressed sadness over what he described as criminal tendencies of some petrol tanker drivers who transport stolen crude oil under the guise of moving refined petroleum products.
