Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, welcomed Lawan Musa Majakura, the sole member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State House of Assembly, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday.
This was revealed in a statement by Mamman Mohammed, the governor’s director of press and media affairs, in Damaturu.
Majakura cited the commendable efforts of the Buni-led administration in providing infrastructure to his constituency as his reason for leaving the PDP for the APC.
He expressed his willingness to collaborate with the governor in serving his constituency and improving the lives of his people.
The Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Chiroma Buba Mashio, praised Majakura’s commitment to representing the interests of his people in the assembly.
