NLC shuts down NASS over minimum wage

The Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC), on Wednesday shut down the National Assembly in protest over a bill seeking the removal of minimum wage from Exclusive Legislative List to Concurrent List

Aspheric News earlier reported that NLC has threatened to embark on a nationwide protest on Wednesday (today) over moves by the National Assembly to remove the national minimum wage from the exclusive to the concurrent legislative list.

According to a communique jointly signed by NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, and the acting General Secretary of the NLC, Ismail Bello, on Tuesday, NLC said the protest will hold in the 36 states’ Houses of Assembly.
