United States President, Donald Trump on Friday held a private funeral service at the White House for his younger brother Robert Trump, who died last week. In a statement, Donald Trump said “It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight.
“He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”
This is the first time a funeral service is being held in the White since President John F. Kennedy’s funeral in 1963. This is also the first time since 1936, that a Private citizen’s funeral is being held in the White House. Robert Trump died after suffering brain bleeds from a recent fall.
