commends FCT FA chairman’s directive on suspension of footballing activities in territory

The Women Department of the FCT Football Association has commended the chairman of the FCT Football Association, Alhaji Muktar Mohammed for the bold steps he took by suspending all footballing activities in the territory.

This action can only be taken by a visionary leader who has his players, coaches and others at heart.

The chairman has demonstrated that he has listening ears and obeys constituted authorities following the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to suspend the National Sports Festival in Benin City, Edo State to avoid the spread of the dreaded coronavirus.

Shortly after that, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Pinnick also gave directive, suspending all footballing activities in the country, the FCT FA chairman deemed it fit to also issue the same directive because of the love he has for his people.

We, in the Women Department want to say we are proud of him for the decision taken and urged all stakeholders to obey the directives. We believe that only a healthy person can contribute to the development of football in the territory.

Let’s also adhere to all the safety measures given by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Federal Ministry of Health, hoping that coronavirus will be a thing of the past very soon.
