Buhari, Atiku, el-Rufai, commiserate with Ben Bruce over Wife’s death
President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 Presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, have sympathized with Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, on the death of his wife, Mrs Evelyn Murray-Bruce.
In a Press Release from the Presidency, Buhari urged the family to take solace in the quality of life lived by the departed. “President Buhari beseeches God to soothe their pains, and grant succour to all those who mourn Mrs Evelyn Murray-Bruce,” the statement said.
In a message shared on Twitter, Atiku extended his condolences to Ben Bruce and his family. “My good friend and brother, @benmurraybruce, on behalf of my family, I extend our deepest condolences. Your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.” the tweet said. The Kaduna State Governor has also taken to twitter to console with Ben Bruce. El-Rufai said: “My brother Ben @benmurraybruce, I join everyone in conveying condolences & sympathies for this loss. Your wife was a great hostess, gentle soul and warm friend to me and our family. May her soul rest in perfect peace. I am so so sorry. This loss is irreparable.”
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce represented Bayelsa East in the 8th Assembly.
