The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Throne Room Parish, on Sunday, February 2, 2020, joined the ongoing fasting and Prayer Walk exercise organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria, following the gruesome murder of the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Michika Local Government Area, Rev. Lawan Andimi.

The Pastor of the Parish, Pastor Tunde Benjamin Laniyi, who announced the Prayer Walk said: “This Morning, we are dedicating this service to Nigeria, and we’re also sanctifying our fast. “We are walking for 10 minutes to join Christians every where as we pray for God to help us as a people and end the insurgency. “

Pastor Tunde further stressed that the walk was not a protest, but a spiritual exercise intended to make supplications to God on behalf of the Nation.

“We are not taking the walk to incite anger against them, but we are handing them over to God. “We are praying for the nation, praying for the body of Christ, praying for the military, and praying to destroy every forms of infiltration,” Pastor Tunde said.

Members of the Throne Room Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, took a walk around the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, where the church holds its weekly services.

Recall that, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Michika Local Government Area, Rev. Lawan Andimi was abducted by the Boko Haram insurgents on January 3, 2020, and slaughtered in Sambisa forest for his refusal to deny his Faith and the failure of the church to raise the 800 million naira ransom demanded by the terrorists group.
