Plateau Aid worker kidnapped by Boko Haram regains freedom

Kidnapped aid worker from Plateau State, Jennifer Ukambomg Samuel, and four others who were abducted along the Monguno-Maiduguri road on December 22, 2019, has been released. The story of the release excited the Plateau State Governor, his Excellency, Simon Lalong, who commended Nigerian security agencies and further thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the proactive measures that were put in place to ensure the release of the kidnapped persons.

In a statement signed by Makut Macham, Lalong’s Director of Press and Public affairs, the governor assured the people of Plateau of the release of other citizens of the State yet to regain their freedom.
Miss Jennifer Samuel who was working with Alliance for International Medical Action, a humanitarian organisation in the North-East, will reunite with her family in Abuja later this week.
