Though this is not the first of such disastrous events but the leader never seizes to show compassion towards the affected.
Sir. Antonio who has been very responsive in his duty as the Secretary-General of UN towards humanitarian needs has without doubt played roles in unifying and encouraging peace in different countries of the world.
It is quite sad indeed to see fellow humans lose their lives in situations as this. In the light of this a statement was delivered by Stephane Dujarric, Spokesman for the Secretary-General as follows:
The Secretary-General is saddened by the loss of lives and destruction as a result of Cyclone Amphan in India and Bangladesh. He extends his deep condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and wishes those injured and affected by the disaster a speedy recovery.
