Messi won’t leave Barcelona – Former Inter Chief Moratti.
The Former Inter President Masimo Moratti said Lionel Messi will not leave Barcelona, while he also discussed the future of Nerrazurri Star Lautaro Martinez.
Messi has been linked to Inter since Moratti said the record six-time Ballon D’or winner joining the Serie A’ club was not a forbidden dream.
Though the Barca Superstar is contracted to the Laliga Champion until 2021, but his future is far from certain at Camp Nou, he has clashed with board members this season.
Morrati said; “Messi is everyone’s dream, but he won’t leave Barcelona, he is still the best player there. This Moratti told Gr Parlamento.
Inter forward has been tipped to link up with the Argentine in Barcelona.
The Inter forward is also linked to Spanish giants Real Madrid and Premier League powerhouse Manchester City, Martinez had scored 16 goals in 31 games across all competitions before coronavirus pandemic brought the sport to a standstill.
“It’ll all depend on him and I read that Barcelona is making an exorbitant offer for him which will be difficult to say no to”. Moratti said.
Also, Inter backed its new Coach Antonio Conte in the transfer market at the start of 2019/20 season and the Italian Outfits are being linked with more moves.
Inter’s Conte is reportedly favorites to sign Brescia and Italy sensation Sandro Tonali.
“Sandro Tonali is good but Inter already have Stefano Sensi”, Moratti Said.
Moratti was also asked if Inter is possibly targeting Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, who has taken the Bundesliga by storm, since arriving from Salzburg in January.
“What he does makes you want to sign him, but Inter already have Romelu Lukaku”, He said.
