My Son Yul Deserves All The Insults, Says Veteran Actor Pete Edochie
- Speaks about his son marriage to Judy Austin
Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has broken his silence on the backlashes trailing his son, Yul, for marrying a second wife, Judy Austin.
In a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Pete Edochie said that he was not happy with Yul’s decision to marry a second wife while he was still married to his first wife, May.
“I didn’t like it at all,” Pete Edochie said. “I didn’t approve of it.”
Pete Edochie went on to say that he believes that Yul brought the backlash on himself by marrying a second wife. He used a proverb to illustrate his point, saying, “He who goes to the farm and gets ant-infested firewoods (amongst all the good firewoods in the farm) shouldn’t be surprised when Lizards start paying him a visit.”
In a loose translation, Edochie was saying that Yul brought in a foreign woman into the family, and by so doing, he invited all the lows, backwardness, pain, insults, and so on into his life.
Pete Edochie’s comments have been met with mixed reactions. Some people have supported him, saying that he is right to be upset with Yul for his decision. Others have criticized him, saying that he is being too harsh on his son.
Only time will tell how Yul and his family will be affected by the backlash. However, it is clear that Pete Edochie is not happy with his son’s decision, and he has made his feelings known.
