APC NWC meets in Abuja ahead of Emergency NEC meeting
Ahead of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressive Congress (APC) scheduled for March 17, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party has met in Abuja. According to reliable sources, the meeting was held at the Secretariat of the party on Tuesday.
The meeting had in attendance the Acting National Secretary, Chief Victor Giadom, the National Vice Chairman, North East, Comrade Salihu Mustapha and the National Vice Chairman, South West, Pastor Bankole Oluwajana.
Others include the National Organising Secretary, Emma Ubeduro, National Youth Leader, Abubakar Sadiq and the National Woman Leader, Hajiya Salamatu Beiwa.
Earlier, the acting National Secretary of the party, Chief Victor Giadom, had summoned an Emergency NEC meeting following the suspension of the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiohmole, by a court in Abuja. In a statement issued in Abuja, Giadom had validated his decision to convene the NEC meeting. “I wish to state that the decision to call for an emergency National Executive Committee Meeting for March 17, 2020, was taken in strict compliance with the Constitution of the Party,” Giadom said.
