2023: APC built on trust, understanding and values – Aisha Buhari
- Amb. Olufolake AbdulRazaq assures of victory at polls
The First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has urged Nigerians to be wary of politicians who don’t wish the country well pointing out that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is built on trust, understanding and core values aimed at bettering the lives of the ordinary people of Nigeria.
The First Lady said this at the APC women presidential campaign flag off held at the Metropolitan Square in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Buhari who insisted that the campaigns will be issues based urged Nigerians not to be misled by politicians who are out to misrepresent facts and figures.
Mrs Buhari said that history is about to be repeated as, “In 2015, the election result was so convincing that it was not contested either in the court of law nor in the court of public opinion. The same happened in 2019 and history is about to be repeated in 2023 for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential election.”
She stated women and youth trooped out in their numbers in both 2015 and 2019 general elections to make a statement and urged them to do same in the coming 2023 general elections.
The Governor of Kwara State Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq said Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has the experience to be a phenomenal president.
The Governor added that the APC flag bearer has the temperament and the right network to make Nigeria stronger and more united. By their antecedents, it is clear that the Asiwaju Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket is the most experienced and the most progressive combination available on the ballot in 2023, the Governor added.
To resounding cheer, the Governor also talked about his own reelection chances in the upcoming elections in the state and expressed confidence in his ability and capacity to win.
On her part, the First Lady of Kwara State, Ambassador Dr. Olufolake AbdulRazaq assured that the APC will record a landslide victory at the polls given the achievements recorded by the APC both at the federal and state levels.
Ambassador AbdulRazaq told the gathering that there is no vacancy for any other party in the state as the state is solely for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC.
According to her, the present administration in the state has changed the narratives in the provision of amenities and opened many doors of opportunities for both women and youth.
“The APC government both at the federal and state levels have given women and youth their rightful place in the scheme of things and this is why the APC will record a landslide victory at the 2023 general Elections,” she said.
Also speaking at the flag off ceremony, the wife of the presidential candidate, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu said the choice of Kwara is divinely chosen, adding that when voted into power the Tinubu/Shettima Presidency would bring succour to unemployed youths in the state as well as turn around the fortunes of the people of the state for good.
Mrs Tinubu stressed the need for APC members to work in harmony and deliver all the party’s candidates in the next year’s polls.
On her part, the APC National Woman Leader, Dr. Betta Edu assured that women would be priotised in the coming administration of Tinubu/Shittima Presidency and expressed optimism of the maximum votes from the women and youth of the state.
Dr Edu called on women not to be distracted in their set goals of ensuring the victory of the APC
