Suspected Port Harcourt serial killer, GRACIOUS DAVID-WEST, on Friday accused men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, of forcing him to make separate confessional statements in six days.

David-West, who spoke during cross examination at a Rivers State High Court, claimed that the police operatives threatened him before he confessed.

David-West also said he was not given the opportunity to write his statement himself but security agents at the SARS office in Rukpokwu, Obio-Akpor, wrote six different statements for him in the six days.

The suspected serial killer also told the court that that SARS operatives chased away his lawyer who came to seek for his bail, warning the legal practitioner that his client was not entitled to have a lawyer.

David-West alleged that SARS operatives, Inspector Egbomudia, Superintendents of Police, Alfred, and Emma took him, at gunpoint, to a room where they allegedly torture and kill people.

The accused also said he signed the statements in the presence of four armed SARS operatives after it was read out to him, before he was hanged by SARS agents after he refused to sign additional statements they brought to him.

The trial judge, Justice Adolphus Enebeli later adjourned hearing till 28th of February 2020 for continuation of cross examination after listening to the testimony.
