Nigerian Law Maker sentence to Prison
A honorable member of the House of Representatives in Nigeria, Victor Mela representing the Balanga-Billiri Federal constituency of Gombe state, has been sentenced to to serve one month imprisonment.
A magistrate court in Wuse, zone 6, gave the judgment on Friday, to Mela with an option of Fine.
The court found Mela guilty of lying under oath in his CD001 INEC form submitted ahead of the the 2019 elections.
Also, it was discovered that the law maker lied about his citizenship and as it was found that he has a British passport.
