BBNaijaS7: I was named after gods with siblings, Says Hermes

Evicted BBNaija “Level Up” housemate ‘Hermes‘ Chibueze Iyele has stated he and his siblings were named after gods.

The performance artist, during one of his post-eviction interviews, said his father named him and his three siblings after different gods.

He declared ‘Hermes’ is not a stage name but what his father gave him at birth.

“My father named us four after gods. My two brothers are Akhnaton and Kuthumi, while my sister is Isis. Hermes is my real name,” he said.

Hermes is an Olympian deity in ancient Greek religion and mythology. Hermes is considered the herald of the gods.

He is also considered the protector of human heralds, travellers, thieves, merchants, and orators.

He is able to move quickly and freely between the worlds of the mortal and the divine, aided by his winged sandals.

Hermes plays the role of the psychopomp or “soul guide”, a conductor of souls into the afterlife.

Akhenaten, also spelled Akhenaton, Akhnaton, or Ikhnaton, also called Amenhotep IV, Greek Amenophis, was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh.

He was king (1353–36 BCE) of ancient Egypt of the 18th dynasty, who established a new cult dedicated to the Aton, the sun’s disk (hence his assumed name, Akhenaten, meaning “beneficial to Aton”).

Kuthumi, (also spelt Koot Hoomi and frequently referred to simply as K.H.) is said to be one of the Mahatmas (Masters of the Ancient Wisdom claimed to be enlightened beings) that inspired the founding of the Theosophical Society in 1875.

Master Kuthumi, serves with Jesus as World Teacher; formerly Chohan of the Second Ray of Divine Illumination.

Kuthumi is known as the Master Psychologist and a sponsor of youth. He is the hierarch of the etheric Temple of Illumination in Kashmir, India, also called the Cathedral of Nature, and head of the Brothers and Sisters of the Golden Robe.

Isis was the daughter of the earth god Geb and the sky goddess Nut and the sister of the deities Osiris, Seth, and Nephthys.

She was also wife to Osiris, god of the underworld, and bore him a son, Horus.
