Turkish Giants, Galatasaray look to bolster their attack with the addition of fast-rising Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi who currently plies his trade with French side Fc. Lorient.

The Red and yellow will be in dire need of a replacement as former Manchester United ace Radamel Falcao nears the end of his time with the club and plans to sell the high-salary-earning striker appear to be underway.

The 35-year-old Colombian forward managed nine goals and two assists in 18 matches in the just concluded season with the Istanbul Lions. However, under new management, the club begins preparations for a future without the Colombian.

His high salary, and that of Senegal international Mbaye Diagne, is weighing down on Galatasaray’s finances, and the club is keen to let go of both strikers this transfer window.

And as per Takvim, the Yellow-and-Reds are actively interested in kicking off negotiations for Moffi, one of Ligue 1’s breakout stars last season.

The 22-year-old Nigerian drew all the praise and attention with his 14 goals in only his debut campaign in the French top-flight.

Meanwhile, Moffi has provided a swift response to the rumours linking him to Turkey.

In an interview with Le Telegramme, the former Kortrijk ace admits he dreams of playing in the UEFA Champions League but insists that he is focused on staying at Lorient for next season.

Moffi said: “So far, I haven’t heard of a transfer. I am well in Lorient for next season.

“In the future, I would like to play in the Champions League, but for now, my goal is to have a good season in Lorient.”

Lorient paid eight million euros to Kortrijk last year for Moffi and has the Nigerian youngster committed to the club until the summer of 2024.
