After shocking fans around the world by pulling out of the 2020 Olympics, questions continue to arise as concerns grow over the gymnast’s wellbeing.
Biles was forced to withdraw after she participated in the women’s gymnastics team final on Tuesday for medical reasons. It was later established that she withdrew for mental reasons.
Her exit sent fans around the world into a state of genuine concern as they all wonder if the greatest gymnast of this generation and arguably one of the greatest of all time will make a return to the competition.
Has Biles withdrawn from the Olympics yet? The answer to that question is a reassuring ‘No’. However, she will sit out the individual all-around final on Thursday. USA Gymnastics confirmed this and iterated its “wholehearted support” for Biles.
After further medical evaluation, Simone Biles has withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition. We wholeheartedly support Simone’s decision and applaud her bravery in prioritizing her well-being. Her courage shows, yet again, why she is a role model for so many.

Fellow US teammate, Jade Carey will replace Biles in the all-around competition after finishing ninth in the qualifying stages.
A somewhat disappointed Biles responded with “We’ll see” when asked of her status going forward.
