South Africa COVID-19 (C19) cases now 32,683

South Africa is now faced with an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases as its infected rates cross over 30,000 persons.

The number of coronavirus cases in South Africa now stands at 32,683.

It rose on Sunday from 30,097 after 1,716 new cases were declared.

The death toll also increased from 643 to 683.

On Saturday, the country crossed the 30,000 mark for the first time.

Minister of Health Zweli Mkhize then reported 1,727 new cases.

This took the cumulative total to 30,967. There were 32 deaths.

South Africa now has Africa’s worst experience from the virus, in terms of caseload.

Egypt, which is the second worst-hit has 24,985 cases but a higher death toll of 959.
