Army conducts annual shooting exercise

THE Nigerian Army says its 29 Battalion Port Harcourt, will be conducting its Annual Range Classification Exercise from Monday 16th – Thursday 19th March at Igwuruta Nigerian Army Shooting Range.

The Army said its Routine Training Directives for the year 2020 is an exercise aimed at determining the professional ability and proficiency of the troops on the use of fire arms and marksmanship.

The security agency said the primary goal of improving individual shooting skills which involved live firing of small arms at the Range area.

This was contained in a statement by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, 6 Division Port Harcourt, Major CHARLES EKEOCHA.

EKEOCHA called on the general public, residents, commuters and farmers within the Igwuruta Army Range general area, to stay clear of the Range area for the duration of the exercise.
