Finally, U.S. President Trump decides to get tested for Coronavirus

United States President, Donald Trump on Friday said he would get tested for the coronavirus, days after he stood next to a Brazilian official who tested positive for virus. This is after the U.S. President had severally indicated that he was not going to get tested for the deadly virus, be self-quarantined or stop shaking hands.
Last week, Trump was photographed at his private Florida club standing next to Fabio Wajngarten, media aide to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. Wajngarten later tested positive for the disease.
During a press conference on Friday, where Trump declared a national emergency to fight the disease, a reporter noted that the U.S. government is asking Americans to self quarantine when they return from Europe, but Trump was in pictures with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus. The reporter further asked how that was different.
Responding, Trump said, “I’m not coming back from somewhere. There was somebody they say has it. I have no idea who he is, but I take pictures and it lasts for literally seconds. I don’t know the gentleman that we’re talking about. I did sit with the president for probably two hours, but he’s tested negative so that’s good,” he said.
Trump went on to say, “Most likely, yeah, most likely. Not for that reason, but because I think I will do it anyways.”
