Gunmen kidnap four NSCDC Officers, demand N30 million ransom
The Kogi State Police command has confirmed reports of the abduction of four officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Confirming the report, spokesman of the Kogi state police command, William Aya, said the police team that responded to the distress call found two abandoned vehicles riddled with bullets; one Volkswagen Sharon bus with registration number Kogi KNA 220 LG and a Volkswagen Gulf car with registration number Lagos EZ 376 SMK. William added that 3 victims of the incident who sustained injuries during the attack were rushed to the hospital.
The NSCDC officers were said to be on their way to Benue State for a promotion examination, before they were kidnapped in Alo-Offoke community, along Itobe-Ayingba road.
The kidnappers have reportedly demanded 30-million-naira ransom for the officers.
