Governorship Election appeal hearing: CJN storms out of courtroom

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad on Monday January 13, 2020 stormed out the courtroom where the supreme Court was to hold a hearing for Governorship election appeals against Emeka Ihedioha (Imo), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Simon Lalong (Plateau), and Samuel Ortom (Benue).

Justice Tanko who led a panel of Seven Justices, left the courtroom after giving directives for the courtroom to decongested. Those who had no serious business with the case were asked to leave the courtroom.

Politicians and parties supporters had turn out in their numbers to witness the rulings of the apex court on the outcome of the Governorship election, help across the country on March 9, 2019.

Justice Tanko is expected to return to the Courtroom for the hearing to continue.
