IRAN- U.S. crises: Iran fires 22 missiles at U.S. bases in Iraq
Iran in the early hours of Wednesday responded to the U.S. airstrikes that killed top Iranian General Qasem Soleimani in Baghdad, Iraq. In a statement by the Iraqi military, 17 missiles were fired at the Al-Asad airbase in Anbar province and five missiles hit a base in Erbil province in northern Iraq.
Shortly after the attack, Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a tweet that Iran did not want to start a war. He added that the missile strikes were a proportion measure “in self defense under Article 51 of UN charter.”
U.S. President, Donald Trump also responded with a tweet which says “All is Well’
All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.

Iran took & concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN Charter targeting base from which cowardly armed attack against our citizens & senior officials were launched.
