Amb. Israel Ibeleme Felicitates with Dr. Dakuku on Birthday Celebration

The Founder and CEO of the Israel Ibeleme Foundation, Amb. Israel Ibeleme has felicitated with the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dakuku Peterside, on the occasion of the Birthday celebration of the NIMASA boss. This was contained in a message issued by Mr. Israel Ibeleme and made available to our reporters. In pouring encomium on Dr. Dakuku, Mr Ibeleme noted that the life of the the NIMASA DG has turned to be a blessing, not just to the people of Rivers State, but to Nigerians and humanity in general. Amb. Ibeleme further commended the NIMASA DG for the giant achievements he has recorded in the agency since he took over. He listed the 2500 Nigerian Youth trained overseas in seafaring and introducing the New Cabotage Compliance Strategy with the aim of creating over 7000 new jobs in the Maritime Industry.

He further wished Dr. Dakuku a happy Birthday celebration and more years of living in good health.

Dr. Peterside Dakuku was born on December 31, 1970 in Biriye, Opobo Kingdom of River State. He attended the Okrika Grammar School before proceeding to the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt where he studied Medical Laboratory Sciences, specializing in Haematology and Blood Transfusion. He was appointed Special Assistant to the Governor of Rivers State on Youths and Student Affairs in 1999. Between October 2007 and January 2011, he served the River State people as the Commissioner for works, where he oversaw government’s Constructions of over 200 roads, 5 flyover bridges, and 10 bridges. In 2011, he was elected to the House of Representatives where he served as chairman, House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream).

Dr Dakuku Peterside was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Director General / CEO of NIMASA on the 10th of March, 2016.
