As the 2022 World Cup draw closer the World soccer governing body FIFA has confirmed the date for the draw of the Africa qualifiers.

Asia remained the only continent that has started its qualifiers with smaller nations trading tackles among one another.

FIFA yesterday announced that the draw for the Africa zone qualifiers will take place on 21st of January 2020 with the matches starting same year.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles is among the countries that will be drawn into groups for the first round of the qualifier.

The Nigeria senior side has only missed the competition once since making her debut in 1994 where he lost out in the round of 16 to Italy.

Super Eagles was also part of the last World cup in Russia where the team crashed out at the group stage of the tournament.
