Senator Philip Aduda Rescues Oppressed Man
Senator Philip Aduda the Senator Representing the FCT, has shown great compassion and support to one Mr. Evidence Ugwu, an Igbo man from Enugu State, resident in Kurunduma 2, Asokoro Extension, a community in the FCT.
Mr. Ugwu who has been under severe assault and oppression from one Mr. James Adeniran a Military Police Officer who is said to be a neighbor of Mr. Ugwu.
This assault started when Mr. James asked Mr. Ugwu to call him back that he has something he wants to tell him, but Mr. Ugwu was so occupied he couldn’t call back.
Later that evening Mr. James returned from work and just went straight to Mr. Ugwu’s door and banged it forcefully and angrily when Mr. Ugwu came out the first thing he got was a slap from the Military Police Officer and fearfully Mr. Ugwu couldn’t even ask what happened, the next thing he got beaten up.
Such assault had been ongoing for some time, another issue transpired which involved a friend of Mr. Ugwu who was accused by Mr. James that he would connive with Mr. Ugwu to do him harm.
Mr. James, wasn’t didn’t know that the friend of Mr. Ugwu wasn’t even aware of all that had transpired or was going on between them.
According to the source: “Mr. James told his wife that Mr. Ugwu’s friend who happens to be someone he knows would connive with Mr. Ugwu to do him harm.
Then Mr. James wife went to the friend’s house and told him that her husband is angry with him, and said: “My husband is angry with You because he saw You talking with his enemy, he said he would come and challenge You, but I told him not to come that I would come and talk to You about it.
The friend upon hearing what Mr. James’ wife said, “Why would he go and beg her husband?
“I didn’t do anything to Your husband, why would I go and beg him? I am the one Your husband should even come and beg for accusing Me of what I didn’t do.
But being persuaded he went to meet Mr. James and told him that he is not even aware of what happened between him and Mr. Ugwu, and besides, I have no reason to connive with anybody against You. The friend said.
Meanwhile, the friend got angry at being accused wrongly and upon knowing how Mr. Ugwu had been going through such an assault for a very long time decided to seek support for Mr. Ugwu.
According to source Mr. Ugwu’s friend sent Senator Philip Aduda a message to him on the evening of Sunday 5th July, 2020, and explained everything to the God sent lawmaker and fortunately, after a few minutes Aduda responded positively.
The lawmaker upon receiving the text message from the AsphericNews correspondent who sent the message to seek the Senator’s support on behalf of the harassed Mr. Ugwu, got a surprising and motivating response from the Senator.
Aduda intervened on behalf of Mr. Ugwu. It is very much obvious that we have leaders who come to the aide of ordinary Nigerians whom they do not even know and are not even from the same state or community.
