Rivers: Criticisms trail clash between task force and northern traders in Port Harcourt

The clash between the members of Rivers State Government Task Force Zone One and youths of Northern extraction at the Yam Zone axis in Port Harcourt has continued to generate reactions and counter reactions from stakeholders.
Some principal members of State Government Task Force from the Zone One debunked claims of the non-indigenous youths in the media.
Some of the Task Force staffers, popularly known as Man U and G-3, narrated their experience to our correspondent at the State Task Force Office at the Civic Centre.
The respondents said they did not engage in criminal activities in discharge of their constitutional assignment and did not unleash confusion to any yam truck driver or cart away any truck battery.
The respondents added that they did not cause breach of peace and unity or threatened members of the public, stressing that their primary assignments were their main focus.
Recall that the Chairman of Garkuwa Youth Association, Alhaji Shauaibu Wada had accused the task force members of destroying windows of yam trucks, and carted away four batteries of the vehicles.
