We Are Trying to Worship The White Man-Roseline Ojugbo
Mrs. Roseline Ojugbo, the President of the Ika People in Diaspora, Canada and the CEO and Founder of the Kids Life Matters Foundation in an interview with the Asphericnews on the 23rd of June 2020 when asked why even in Nigeria white privileges still exist and she said: “I have asked Myself this same questions several times without number and I could not place an answer to it, but now I can tell You that even in our country Nigeria, the white privileges and the white supremacy is still existing.
“In a situation whereby we are in their country, we see them as supreme, as higher and the most intelligent. As though we are always under them, also when they come to our country Nigeria we also give them that privilege, so for Me, I don’t think it should be like that.
“There should be equality amongst humanity, whether You are black or white. It doesn’t matter where You are from. For Me, there should be equality if You are qualified for a job You should be given the opportunity to showcase what You have upstairs not based on what the color says.
“You can also see it in Nigeria not only the white people, You see that the light skin color based on the mentality that has already been placed in us, we always see the light skin color as the most beautiful and that is why the bleaching cream is selling in highest, that’s why You see people trying to turn their skin from black to white.
“Because they are trying to rank themselves with this white supremacy kind of living. They try to put out that inferiority complex because we see black as being ugly. But for Me, black is always beautiful because when You change Yourself from black to white You can never come back from that white to black.
“A white man or a white lady can never turn their skin to black. But based on this mentality, based on this inferiority complex, based on what has been inculcated into us, that white is always the most beautiful, most intelligent, and what have You.
“We are now trying to follow their footsteps, we are now trying to worship them, as though they are gods, but trust Me it’s not worth it. Everyone should be equal both in the eyes of men and in the eyes of God. She concluded.
