I Resign My Membership as APC Member-Obaseki

Governor Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State in a post on his official twitter handle on Tuesday 16, 2020 disclosed that he has officially resigned his membership from the All Progressive Congress after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari.

The tweet is as follows:

“I have officially resigned my membership of the All Progressives Congress after meeting with the CoS to Muhammadu Buhari.

“We shall continue the battle to protect the interest of Edo people and sustain good governance in the state.

Though we all know that the governor has been in a conflict with the APC national chairman and a former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomole.

This power struggle has led to the disqualification of Obaseki in the party’s primary held some days ago in Edo State.
