FG approved the under listed refund to these states as money spent to repair federal roads within the states.

N78.9bn to Rivers,
N38bn to Bayelsa,
N18.3bn to Cross River,
N7.8bn to Ondo, and
N2.4bn to Osun!

The refund to the states was largely money they spent between 1999-2015. The Federal Government has over N500b claims from all the states as a refund on the money spent on roads that belong to FG.

Let’s think for a moment if the five states that were approved for payment earlier this week were all Northern States. Can we imagine the kind of press statements that would have been issued by Afenifere, different NGOs and Southern groups?

I have not read any statement from Arewa Group against FG for approving payments for 5 Southern States at once without any state from the North.
