9 COVID-19 patients discharged in FCT as Nigeria toll exceeds 10,000
Several discharges of COVID-19 patients in the country is on the rise and the Federal Capital Territory is not left out of the positive cases turning to negative ones after several care and treatments given to them.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has announced the discharge of nine COVID-19 patients.
The minister of FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello disclosed this on his official Twitter page on Monday morning.
According to him, the patients were discharged after they tested negative twice to Coronavirus.
This brings the total number of recovered patients in Abuja to 182 as of Monday.
His post read: “Dear FCT residents,I bring you good news as we successfully discharged additional nine (9) #COVID19 patients from our treatment facility in the FCT, after they tested negative in their subsequent tests.
“We have a total of 182 discharged patients in the FCT as at May 31, 2020.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria on Sunday passed the 10,000 mark of Coronavirus confirmed cases.
According to data from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, there are presently 10,162 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country.
