Nigerian Army To Celebrates 100 Years Of Existence
The Nigerian Army says it will continue to fulfill its constitutional duties of defending the country and protecting the lives of its citizens and would celebrate 100 years of its existence.
This assurance was given by the General- Officer Commanding the 3rd Division of the Nigerian Army at Jebu Bassa in Bassa, Plateau State during the flag-off of a medical outreach to the community as part of activities to mark the first 100 years of the existence of the Nigerian Army.
Jebu Bassa, the host community of the 3rd Division Nigerian Army, trooped out in droves to take advantage of the free medical outreach being organized by the Army as part of activities to mark the 2023 Nigerian Army Day celebration.During the program, a wide variety of health services will be rendered, as further explained by the medical director of the 3rd division.
The General officer Commanding the Division said the choice of Jebu Bassa as the community to benefit from the gesture was deliberate owing to the cooperation received by the Army over the years.
Representatives of the host communities were full of praise, calling the intervention timely, considering the poor access to health care services in the area.
The Army authorities hope that with outreach such as this, civil-military relations will be cemented between formations and their host communities.
