15-year-boy drowns in open water in Kano
A 15-year-boy has reportedly drowned in an open water at Rijiyar Lemo, Dan Rimi in Kano State. Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, who confirmed the report, said the incident happened on Thursday.
In a statement, Saidu Mohammed said: “We received a distress call from Malam Mujittafa Tasiu at about 11:38 am over the tragic incident. On receiving the information, we promptly dispatched our rescue team to the scene at about 11: 52 am. Muhammed was found dead and his corpse was handed over to the ward head of Danrimi Alhaji Yunusa Yahaya”.
