CORONAVIRUS: Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos suspends exchange of sign of peace
The Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos has temporarily suspended the exchange of sign of peace during Masses following the outbreak of Coronavirus in Lagos.
In a circular issued by the church, the Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Adewale Martins, also directed that communion will now be received in the palm, adding that Stations of the Cross should be observed privately on Wednesdays while public celebrations should take place only Fridays.
Coronavirus which has killed more than 2,800 people and infected more than 83,000 worldwide, was confirmed in Lagos on Friday, February 28, 2020.
