Soyinka, Shehu Sani storms court in solidarity for Sowore
Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka and Senator Shehu Sani are among supporters that turned up at the Federal High court to support Sowore. Sowore and co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, are facing trial over charges of a treasonable felony for organising the revolution now protest on August 5, 2019, which the government saw as an attempt to disrupt peace in the country.
Like Sowore, Soyinka was accused of treason by General Sani Abacha and imprisoned for 22 months before he was eventually released.
Meanwhile, the prosecution has removed the Charges of Money Laundering and Cyber Bullying President Buhari from the charges against Sowore
