Gunmen killed retired Air Force officer in Kaduna

The wave of the insecurity in Kaduna State continues as Unknown Gunmen killed a retired Air Force officer at his residence in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area of the state. Kaduna State Police Command identified the deceased as Air Vice-marshal Muhammad Maisaka.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Jalige confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, in Kaduna.

Jalige, who said the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, also said Maisaka’s gateman sustained injuries from the attack.

He said that when the information was received, the Commissioner of Police, Mudassiru Abdullah directed the Divisional Police Officer and the Area Commander to the scene.

“The corpse has been evacuated to the hospital and the gateman has also been rushed to the hospital for treatment”, he said, while revealing that details of the incident would be made available soon.

Jalige appealed to Kaduna residents to come forward with useful and timely information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits.
