Amaechi summons MD of CCECC for emergency inspection

Following an unsatisfactory level of completion of the Lagos- Ibadan railway, the Honourable Minister for Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has summoned the Chairman, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Group,  Zhao Dianlong for an emergency inspection of the rail project.

Earlier the Honourable Minister for Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi accompanied by the Minister of State for Transportation, Mrs Gbemisola Saraki, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and journalists, had embarked on an inspection tour of the project. During the tour, Amaechi had frowned at the level of completion, stating that the May dateline which the company had earlier given to the Federal Government was no longer feasible.

At the time of filing this report, the Amaechi was at the Ebute Metta Train station with Chairman CCECC group, Zhao Dianlong and Managing Director of CCECC Nigeria,  Jiang Yi Gao, who were not around during the first tour
