SGF commends Dakuku on NIMASA achievements

The Secretary to the Federal Government, Mr. Boss Mustapha, has commended the Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dakuku Peterside and his management team for the growth and the recorded progress achieved in the maritime Industry. He noted that Dr. Dakuku’s dedication and commitment, has served as a vital link which has driven the operations of NIMASA. The Secretary to the Government made this declaration during the NIMASA corporate dinner night, staff long service and industry merit awards nights held on January 18, 2020, in Lagos.
Mr. Boss Mustapha said: “I have however been following keenly, the developments in NIMASA and indeed the maritime industry where I was an active participant a few years ago, having served as the MD of NIWA. “I want to congratulate the Management of NIMASA led by Dr. Dakuku Peterside for the job they have been doing in the industry. “Your administrative contributions and innovative ideas have lifted the Maritime sector to new heights. “And I know that without you, staff and stakeholders, the progress so far made would have been impossible.
“The successful growth of NIMASA is the direct result of your valued employees and stakeholders. Your dedication and commitment serves as a vital link in the chain which drives the operation of NIMASA,” the Secretary to the Federal Government added.
While highlighting the initiatives of President Buhari in the Maritime sector, Mr. Mustapha said. “I believe that what NIMASA is doing is aimed at engendering higher productivity and efficiency in the entire maritime industry so as to grow the economy for the overall good of Nigeria and its citizens. “In our bid to improve efficiency and productivity in all of government, the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016 inaugurated the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) with the sole aim of creating an enabling environment for the growth of businesses with port operations as a major plank.”
