Don’t link crime to ethnic group, FG tells Nigerians
ABUJA- The Federal Government has called on Nigerians to avoid the temptation of giving ethnic colouration to criminal activities in the country.
It said the morality of the African race and Nigeria, in particular, abhorred all forms of crimes and criminality.
The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, made these known in Abuja on Friday when he received a delegation from the Executive Intelligence Management Course 14 of the National Institute for Security Studies, led by its commandant, Ayodele Adeleke.
Aregbesola was speaking against the backdrop of reported attacks on some Fulani herdsmen following the alleged killings and abduction of farmers and other Nigerians by suspected criminal herdsmen.
“No ethnic group in Nigeria glorifies crime and criminality. So, let us all condemn crime. Our morality itself makes crime an unpopular vocation,” he said
