2021 Budget: Abdulrazaq seeks upward review of N11bn
Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has written a letter to the state assembly requesting for an upward review of the proposed N124bn 2021 Budget by N11bn.
The request of the govenor was contained in a letter to the Assembly which was read by the Speaker, Yakubu Salihu-Danladi, during plenary, on Monday.
The letter reads in part, “Recall that on the Tuesday 15th December, 2020 a budget proposal of 123,091,307,468 was presented to the Honourable House.
“However, due to new developments after the presentation, the budget proposal needs to be reviewed upward and the Assembly has to be notified of these in compliance with rules guiding fiscal disciplines in governance.
“The Reviewed Budget proposal is at N134,9bn as the total budget size, while the Capital and the Recurrent is at N64,524,459,855 and N70,437,464,795 respectively.”
The Speaker subsequently referred the request to the Committee on Finance and Appropriation for further legislative action.
