NCPC boss charges IDFP on peacebuilding in Nigeria
The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, has charged the Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, IDFP to do everything humanly possible to sustain the tempo of peace building in Nigeria.
Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Yakubu Pam, gave this charge during a courtesy visit by the Central Coordinating Committee of the Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, IDFP at the NCPC corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
The NCPC boss stressed the need for Nigerians to come together for the peace of the nation not minding their differences. In his words “we really need the synergy of all Nigerians from North, South, East and West.”
He further explained that Nigeria is our nation and we do not need any external support to build the nation. According to him “we need our indigenous support of our locals to build our country.”
Rev. Pam intimated that Nigeria is a country with so many resources that can proffer solutions to other nations.
He encouraged Nigerians not give up on the country, but proffer solutions to the challenges in the country. According to him “Let us be like Joseph in the Bible that proffered solution to pharaoh.”
The Executive Secretary of NCPC commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his support for peace building and harmony in the country.
Earlier the Co-Chairman of the Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, IDFP, Alhaji Jameel Mohammad congratulated the Executive Secretary on his well-deserved appointment.
In his words, we are happy for this appointment and we are sure that you can handle the task bestowed on you.”
He assured the NCPC boss of his support. According to him “our organization is ever ready to give its support even before you beckon on us.”
The interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace comprises all religious sects in Nigeria which the NCPC helmsman is an active member.
