President Tinubu Approves Redeployment of Magdalene Ajani To FCTA As New Permanent Secretary

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the redeployment of Dr. Magdalene Ajani to the Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory, FCTA as the new permanent secretary.

Dr. Magdalene Ajani was redeployed from Transportation Ministry to the Federal Capital Territory Administration to replace the incumbent Permanent Secretary, FCTA, Mr. Olusade Adesola, who is proceeding on retirement from the service.

Ajani, who resumed duties in 2020, will now be replaced by Mr. Oloruntola Olufemi, who was moved from the Service Policies and Strategies Office (SPSO) OHCSF.

Dr. Ajani who hails from Agbor, Delta State, holds Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery,MBBS degrees from the University of Benin, Edo state.

She joined the federal civil service in 2006 as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the State House Medical Centre and rose to the opposition of Director in 2013.

She is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons, fellow of the International College of Surgeons, and Glaucoma subspecialist of International Council of Ophthalmology.

Recall that President Tinubu gave the approval for the redeployment and of Ajani and other 23 federal permanent secretaries in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as part of the process of rebooting government activities.

Some of the permanent secretaries included those appointed last year but yet to be assigned new portfolios.
