NPA Fulfills Promise Made To International Seafarers
The Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA), Mohammed Bello Koko and his led management has fulfilled the promised made to the global community of seafarers to reconstruct its Nigerian outpost; The Mission to Seafarers (MTS) located on Marine Road Apapa GRA.
Recall that Bello Koko had in March 2023 visited the MTS facility in company of the Nigeria Head of the Mission to Seafarers and former Managing Director of the NPA, Chief Adebayo Sarumi and lamented the decrepit state of the MTS facility and promise to bring it to international standards.
Speaking when he undertook a pre-commissioning tour of the facility today, Bello Koko said “given that the creation of a conducive atmosphere for physiological and psychological wellbeing of seafarers is a global index of port rating, we immediately deployed resources to reconstruct and furnish this facility to international standards befitting of a maritime nation of Nigeria’s calibre”.
