The first Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu has visited Governor Caleb Mutftang of Plateau State as Renewed Hope Initiative is set to disburse ₦500m to the victims of unrest that led to displaced people camping in IDP Camps.
Governor Mutftang disclosed this on his X social media handle.
Mutfwang said “It is a good wave of tiding for me and the people of Plateau state to have the First Lady of Nigeria visit Plateau State.”
“After a meeting with Her Excellency, she directed that the affected victims should be shortlisted and the state government was able to come up with the list from the six local governments of Mangu, Bokkos, Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos South, and Bassa.
“The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with one million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
“Fortunately, the money is going into bank accounts directly. Ours is to supervise and monitor to ensure that the money gets to those it was meant for.”
