Armed Men Kill Worshipper, Abduct Pastor, 2 Others In Benue Church Attack

Unidentified gunmen on Sunday morning invaded the premises of Christian Pentecostal Church in Akenawe -Tswarev community, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, killing a worshipper and kidnapping three persons, including the pastor.
According to Daily Post, Chairman of Logo LGA, Mrs Salome Tor confirmed the incident on Sunday.
The incident reportedly occurred during a vigil held at the church on Sunday morning.
The resident pastor identified as Gwadue Kwaghtyo was said to be leading a prayer when the gunmen stormed the church gun blazing.

“It was early this morning (still night hours). A church in one of the branches went for a vigil. As they were praying, they were surrounded by the armed men.
“They kidnapped three people, killed one boy and injured two people with a machete; they are now in the hospital,” the council boss said.
