The All Progressives Congress (APC), Governorship candidate for the 2023 election, Pastor Tonye Cole has told the people of Kalabari ethnic nationality to unite for the purposes of achieving common objective.

According to a press release by his Campaign Council, Cole gave the admonition in his speech at the Degema local government at the APC 2023 Campaign Flag-off, held at Obuama Town.

Arch. Tonye Cole who declared that Kalabari is a land already blessed by God, however urged the people to proof naysayers wrong that Kalabaris can be united.

He noted that it is only through unity of purpose among leaders that their dreams as a people can be actualized, especially at this time.

“Kalabari must stand together. This is Kalabari, God has blessed us, this is our time, nothing can change it”.

“When we began this journey, we were told that the people of kalabari can never come together, they said everytime we want to stand together as kalabari people, that Kalabaris themselves will be used as tool to divide ourselves. If that was a course placed on us, today we have broken that course, that course has died”.

Pastor Tonye Cole reemphasize his earlier appeal to notable kalabari sons who are governorship candidates in other political parties to unite behind his ambition in the overall interests of the people, and to showcase to the world that the Kalabari people are ready to take power.

“To my brother, my very close brother from Briggs compound, my brother, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs, my Polo Dabo, enough is a enough. You know we will win but together we will scatter them. APC, Tonye Cole, with God by my side, will win. My brother please come let’s work together”.

“My brother Dr. Dawari George from my mother’s village, you are a gentleman, you have kalabari blood. We need to show kalabari unity now, not tomorrow, now! Kalabari must make a statement, we are ready for power, nobody will take it. Kalabari man knows how to use power to lift people out of poverty and we will do it, because our sufferings is enough”.

He reiterated his call on the people, no matter their party affiliation, to vote massively for him and all APC candidates in all elections, including the presidential and governorship elections coming up on the 25th of February and 11th March, 2023, respectively.

“Please go out, speak to every kalabari person, speak to your friends from other tribes, everybody that has a party card or no party card. This time we must vote for APC, we must vote for Tonye Patrick Cole, weather APC, PDP, SDP, AA or any other political party, tell them to vote APC”.

“It’s our time, APC will win, nothing will take it away from us, we have won. On February 25th the presidential election, on March 11th, please vote APC and our suffering must come to an end”.
