Chinese Man in Police Net for Murder of Kano Girl

A 47 years old Chinese national, identified as Geng Kwangron, has been arrested in Kano for allegedly stabbing a 22-year-old woman to death.

Abdullahi Kiyawa, police spokesperson in the state, confirmed the development to TheCable on Saturday.

Kiyawa said the incident occurred at about 10pm on Friday.

According to him, Kwaron, who resides in Nassarawa GRA in Kano, went to the house of UmmulKhultum Sani at Janbulo quarters in the state.
The police spokesman, who claimed that the victim was the girlfriend of the deceased, said they had a misunderstanding after which the suspect attacked her with a sharp knife.

“She was his girlfriend. The incident happened yesterday at about 10pm on the 16th of September, 2022,” Kiyawa said.

“In the evening, we received the report saying a Chinese man, by the name Geng Kwaron, a 47-year-old man, residing in Nassarawa GRA in Kano went to the residence of his girlfriend, one Ummulkhultum Sani, 22-year-old, at Janbulo quarters in Kano state.
