PDP Presidential Primary: Delegates, Governors arriving venue
Abuja- Dignities and leading figures including Presidential aspirants have started arriving at the Velodrome of the MKO Abiola Stadium Abuja, the venue of the Peoples Democratic Party Special Convention / Presidential primary.
So far, Chairman of the Convention Committee, Senator David Mark, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, his Benue State counterpart, Samual Ortom, the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, and former Benue State Governor, Senator Gabriel Suswam, as well as delegates from most of the 36 states of the federation, have arrived.
Among the aspirants screened for primary election were former vice president, Atiku Abubakar; former Senate Presidents, Bukola Saraki and Pius Anyim; former governor of Anambra State, Bauchi and Sokoto State Governors, Bala Mohammed and Aminu Tambuwal.
Others were River State Governor, Nyesom Wike; publisher, Dele MomodU; former banker, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen(dropped out of the race); pharmacist, Sam Ohabunwa, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom and the only female presidential aspirant, Olivia Tariela.
Also screened were former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose; a lawyer, Charles Okwudili; Chikwendu Kalu and Cosmos Ndukwe.
