Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has arrived at a Federal high court in Abuja to continue his trial.

Kanu was brought to the court under heavy security. He arrived at the court premises at 8:10 am

The IPOB leader was on October 26 re-arraigned on a seven-count charge bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism.

Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former governor of Anambra state, was shut out of the court premises by armed security operatives.

Only five journalists were allowed into the courtroom.

Binta Nyako, the judge, entered the courtroom at 9:45am.

There is a heavy security presence as the Department of State Services (DSS) and the police are guarding every entrance to the court and the streets leading to the court building.

Supporters of the IPOB leader are outside the premises chanting and protesting.
